Action Plan
Our mandates
The main mandates of the Gatineau Valley Local Development Centre are the following:
- To consolidate or coordinate the different entrepreneurship assistance services and to secure their funding.
- To elaborate an action plan for economic and employment development taking into account, among others, the strategic plan established by the Conseil régional de développement de l’Outaouais (Ottawa Valley Regional Development Council).
- To elaborate any strategy related to entrepreneurship and business development, including social economy entrepreneurship, while taking into account the national and regional orientations, strategies and objectives.
- To act as advisory committee for the Gatineau Valley Local Employment Centre (LEC).
- With the authorisation of the Minister of Regional Economic Development, and where applicable, to execute any other mandate from government departments and agencies interested in local development.
- To assist the Gatineau Valley MRC with the implementation of the national rural policy.
- To cooperate in the implementation of the measures provided for in the Gatineau Valley MRC’s economic development strategy.
